During an interview with a key professor for Vanderbilt University’s MBA program, she revealed that the biggest gift they could give their MBA students was a year working a personal leadership development program with an executive coach:  They want their students to know what personal leadership development looks like.

As the demands for innovation, teamwork and satisfying customers continue to escalate, leaders are being tested not only strategically, but relationally:  the demand for camaraderie between direct reports and corporate divisions has never been greater.

Some common issues include:
  • Mistrust and “games” are everywhere.  How do we keep politics from eating away at the soul of our company?  Politics in the workplace are as divisive and debilitating as ever, and it seems that as our world evolves into a society that values balance, family, and peace-of-mind, politics-run-amok are creating cultures of fear and mistrust that are toxic to the greatest asset a good company has: its people.  In many companies, this toxicity has led to high turnover, reduced production, and a shaky corporate environment that struggles to attract top talent
  • Our employees seem distracted, and we’re not getting traction.  What do we need to do to attract loyal, high-quality employees? Across the board, if you were to ask not only leaders of enterprise, but the middle managers and employees whom they supervise, what the ideal work environment looked like, you would hear that people want less fear, intimidation and frustration as they go about their work. Success to them includes more time, freedom, respect, and collaboration.  People want to feel good about the work they do every day, and they want their contribution to be appreciated
  • Our employees seem jaded, and it’s challenging to get buy-in on important initiatives.  How do we get our employees to respond to our leadership team with enthusiasm and respect?  A company’s success rises and falls on its leadership team, and the strategic decisions they make to create an environment where their employees love their jobs—and the people they work for.  This kind of environment fosters creativity, passion, innovation, loyalty; all important conditions for creating a thriving corporate community and a strong bottom line.
Our leadership development programs are designed to help you tackle the most challenging leadership challenges head-on, and create supportive, creative, break-through environments where teams thrive, the bottom line grows, and people love their jobs.
